Prussia and the Bird Man is an original independent, dark gothic fairy tale and horror film trailer written, styled and directed by London-based multi-disciplinary auteur Phoenix-Blu Coyle (performing under the alias Quarry Dolls, Founder/CEO of Quarry Doll Motion Pictures) The Concept: Described as a dark gothic fairy tale for adults, also known alternatively as Aviary of Freaks, blends eccentric aesthetics, horror elements and imaginative world-building. The Mediums: Coyle originally authored the underlying narrative as an independent novel before expanding it into a stylized feature film project and cinematic trailer, securing unique Grade-I listed film locations, casting models, subcultures from London gothic clubs and handling costume design, cgi environments, animated character designs, production and editing independently herself.

The Creator/Background: Phoenix-Blu Coyle works across underground fashion styling, creative direction, and indie filmmaking, with surreal avant-garde styling projects and fashion film concepts under her belt such as ‘Vuittonia’ for Louis Vuitton also ‘Quarry Doll and The Color of Magic’ a Film nominated alongside McQueen and Dior at FFF Milano judged by Vogue. ‘A question I get a lot is ‘Is that a doll or a real person?’ ‘Why they’re real of course, that’s why all the models love working with me, I literally make them look like actual Human Dolls!’ Current Status: The project has undergone mastering across multiple cinematic versions aimed at independent distribution not as yet festival pathways. Phoenix-Blu Coyle known as Quarry Dolls is the writer, director, creative director and producer of the novel/film provisionally titled ‘Prussia and the Bird Man’ also known as ‘Aviary of Freaks’. The world of Prussia and the Bird Man was conceived, written, designed and assembled entirely by me Phoenix/Blu Coyle, under my creative vision and direction.

I wish to make it clear: The film and all associated footage are the property of the production under my authorship. Any trailer, edit or promotional material not created in collaboration with me does not represent the film, it’s vision, or it’s future release.

I reserve all rights to the film’s creative direction, editing and distribution. This statement serves as a public affirmation of my authorship and a reminder that the integrity of the project will be protected.
